Masters: league then cup

The Masters format is a league with a finale. Everyone plays everyone over the season, then the top four or eight go into a knockout cup. The league rewards consistency and the cup gives the season a final night.

How it works

  1. 1Play the league as normal
  2. 2When the last league frame is in, the top four or eight are seeded into a cup
  3. 3First plays last, second plays second last, down to the final

When to use it

When a league finishes with no title race left. The cup keeps the top half playing for something to the last week.
