Last Player Standing

In Last Player Standing every player starts with the same number of lives, usually two. Each round is a fresh random draw. Lose a match and you lose a life; lose them all and you are out. The last player with a life wins.

How it works

  1. 1Everyone starts with the same lives
  2. 2Each round is drawn at random from the players still in
  3. 3An odd number means a bye, which costs nothing
  4. 4The last player with a life is the winner

When to use it

When a league is too long but a knockout is too short. Nobody is out after one bad night, and every round is a new opponent.
