How to run a snooker team league

A team league is a league where each match is a set of frames between two teams: singles, and doubles if you play them. Captains pick who plays each frame. The team that wins more frames wins the match, and the table works as in any league, with draws allowed.

Set it up

  1. 1Create the competition, pick Teams, then League
  2. 2Choose the singles and doubles a match, and the frames in each
  3. 3Add each team: a name and its players, captain first
  4. 4Make the draw

Match night

  1. 1Each frame is drawn 1 v 1, 2 v 2 and so on
  2. 2Captains can change who plays any frame before it starts
  3. 3Players score each frame like any match
  4. 4The match score is frames won; a level match is a draw

Cups

Run a team cup the same way with Knockout. A tie that finishes level gets one deciding frame between the captains’ choices.
